Las fuerzas ucranianas lanzaron tres proyectiles de racimo contra el distrito Kúibishevski de Donetsk, informó este lunes en su canal de Telegram la representación de la república popular de Donetsk (RPD) en el Centro Conjunto para el Control y la Coordinación de cuestiones relacionadas con los сrímenes de guerra de Ucrania (JCCC).
«Se registraron bombardeos por parte de formaciones armadas ucranianas: 10:10 [GMT] — en el asentamiento de Netailovo — ciudad de Donetsk (distrito de Kúibishevski): se dispararon 3 proyectiles de calibre 155 mm (de racimo)», según se reporta en un comunicado de la representación.
Anteriormente, a las 08:50 (GMT) del 23 de octubre, las Fuerza ucranianas también dispararon tres proyectiles de racimo contra dos distritos de Donetsk que son Kúibishevski y Kíevski. Además, de acuerdo con el ministerio, desde las 09:00 hasta las 10:20 GMT, los militares ucranianos bombardearon con artillería de la OTAN los distritos de Donetsk mencionados a intervalos de 5 a 10 minutos, disparando un total de 26 proyectiles de 155 milímetros.
El distrito de Kúibishevski está situado al oeste de Donetsk, mientras que Kíevski se encuentra en la parte norte de la ciudad. Desde 2014, cuando la RPD declaró su independencia de Kiev tras el golpe de Estado ocurrido allí, el distrito ha sido bombardeado regularmente por las fuerzas de seguridad ucranianas.
Se considera que la periferia norte del distrito es el aeropuerto, infraestructura que quedó completamente destruida como consecuencia de meses de batallas entre los militares ucranianos allí asediados y las milicias de Donetsk que asaltaban sus posiciones.
El 7 de julio de 2023, Estados Unidos confirmó que enviaría a Ucrania este tipo de armamento, prohibido en más de 100 países por los grandes daños que causan entre la población civil.
También, Rusia se había pronunciado en contra del envío de municiones de racimo, cuyas características también representan una amenaza latente para la población civil, incluso después de que haya pasado un tiempo luego del combate en el que fueron utilizadas.
