El presidente del Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF), Luis Carranza, presentó este martes la renuncia a su cargo de manera anticipada a partir de abril, en medio de un conflicto político en el directorio y denuncias internas por despidos y maltrato laboral.
El economista peruano acusó además supuestas presiones de parte de la representación argentina, para que Carranza nombrara como vicepresidente a una persona que, según él, no cumplía los requisitos mínimos de idoneidad para el puesto. Así lo señala el ahora extitular del CAF en una carta pública reproducida íntegramente por el diario El Cronista.
Carranza, de 54 años y en el cargo desde 2017, afirmó que la decisión de su salida «no ha sido fácil», pero espera que con ello la organización «continúe su labor de forma independiente, preservando su institucionalidad lejos de la politización».
