La Oficina Federal de Investigación Criminal de Alemania (BKA) advirtió a los diferentes grupos parlamentarios acerca de la circulación de amenazas de muerte contra todos los legisladores que votaron a favor de la modificación de la Ley de Protección contra las Infecciones, que en lo inmediato amplía las potestades de las autoridades federales para actuar con contundencia en todas las regiones del país en caso de un aumento de los contagios por covid-19.
La semana pasada, alrededor de 342 políticos aprobaron el llamado «freno federal de emergencia» aparecieron en un documento titulado «lista de muerte de políticos alemanes» y divulgado en Telegram, reporta Der Tagesspiegel, que además vio la respectiva carta de advertencia con la que el Partido Socialdemócrata (SPD) llamó a sus miembros a cuidarse.
La policía no contempla hasta ahora ningún peligro para los diputados, pero adelantan las investigaciones pertinentes y se toman en serio las amenazas.
La medida recién aprobada por los parlamentarios, que busca frenar los contagios en un nuevo pico de la pandemia, permite imponer un toque de queda nocturno de 22:00 a 5:00 en todas las regiones del país donde se registren más de 100 casos semanales de covid-19 por cada 100.000 habitantes.
La canciller alemana, Angela Merkel, defendió las nuevas restricciones ante las numerosas críticas de quienes las consideran excesivas, y dio como ejemplo al Reino Unido, Portugal e Irlanda, donde los confinamientos ayudaron a reducir los contagios.
