Según medios locales 239 personas resultaron heridas y al menos 7 muertas a causa de dos tornados que este viernes azotaron las ciudades chinas de Wuhan y de Shengze, en el centro y el este de la nación asiática, respectivamente.
El huracán que afectó la ciudad de Wuhan, considerada como el origen de la pandemia de coronavirus en la provincia de Hubei, alcanzó una velocidad de 23,9 metros por segundo, dejando 6 fallecidos y 218 heridos y causando, además, daños en unas 400 casas.
En la provincia de Jiangsu, otro tornado dejó un muerto y 21 heridos en Shengze.
El fuerte viento que acompañó al fenómeno natural provocó el derrumbe de muchas casas, arrancó árboles y causó cortes de energía en algunas áreas de las provincias afectadas. En redes sociales se han publicado imágenes y videos del paso de los tornados.
