RÍO DE JANEIRO (Sputnik) — Brasil recibirá en junio más de cuatro millones de vacunas de AstraZeneca contra el COVID-19 procedentes de la alianza Covax Facility, según informó el presidente del Forum de los Gobernadores, Wellington Dias, gobernador del estado de Piauí (noreste).
En un video divulgado en sus redes sociales, el gobernador agradeció el esfuerzo de los integrantes de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) para el envío de este nuevo cargamento, que estará formado por 4.038.000 dosis y que llegará a Brasil entre los días 16 y 23 de este mes.
En abril, los gobernadores brasileños mantuvieron una primera reunión con la ONU solicitando anticipar las entregas previstas dada la situación epidemiológica del país, que en aquel momento se encontraba en el pico de la segunda ola de la pandemia.
