La Fiscalía de Perú ha anunciado el inicio de la investigación de una serie de polémicos audios en los que Vladimiro Montesinos, quien fue asesor del expresidente Alberto Fujimori, habla de conspirar para que Keiko Fujimori sea declarada como ganadora en las recientes elecciones, incluso a través del pago de sobornos a funcionarios electorales.
Esta semana, el exparlamentario Fernando Olivera presentó diversas grabaciones en las que se escucha al propio Montesinos mantener conversaciones telefónicas con otra persona sobre las impugnaciones de Fujimori con respecto al conteo de votos durante la segunda vuelta del pasado 6 de junio. En los audios hablan de un presunto pago de millones de dólares a tres miembros del Pleno del JNE para influir en los comicios.
En otra llamada, el exasesor fujimorista incluso insiste en que se están quedando sin tiempo para que el JNE acepte las impugnaciones y menciona que una de las posibilidades es hablar con la Embajada de EE.UU.
Montesinos, de 76 años, permanece encarcelado en la Base Naval de Callao, cumpliendo condenas por secuestro, homicidio, desaparición forzada, tráfico de armas y asociación ilícita. La Marina de Guerra ha confirmado que el recluso efectuó llamadas telefónicas a números para los que no tenía autorización, .
Por su parte, el presidente del JNE, Jorge Luis Salas Arenas había pedido a la Fiscalía investigar los audios a fin de determinar su autenticidad y que se realicen las indagaciones necesarias en caso de que existan responsabilidades de funcionarios públicos. Asimismo, aseguró que pondrán a disposición toda la información necesaria para el esclarecimiento de los hechos.
En un comunicado de Twitter, el Ministerio Público informó que el caso que involucraría a miembros del Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE) en acciones ilícitas ha sido derivado a la Segunda Fiscalía Suprema Transitoria Especializada en Delitos Cometidos por Funcionarios Públicos, a cargo de la fiscal Bersabeth Revilla.
