Los pilotos dominicanos Amín Pérez y Ronny Cedeño, quienes laboraban en Haití y residían en el distrito haitiano Jacmel, fallecieron este viernes durante un accidente aéreo en el que los otros cuatro ocupantes de la aeronave también murieron.
Las seis personas viajaban a bordo de la aeronave Piper Cherokee, matrícula norteamericana.
Hasta el momento no se conocen las causas que hizo a la aeronave estrellarse en la ruta Puerto Príncipe – Jacmel.
A través de la Comisión Investigadora de Accidentes Aéreos (CIAA), la Junta de Aviación Civil (JAC), se mantiene en contacto con las autoridades haitianas para obtener informaciones sobre el accidente aéreo.
Por su parte, la Asociación Nacional de Pilotos solicitó ayuda a la Fuerza Aérea Dominicana para la repatriación de los cuerpos de los jóvenes fallecidos.
En una comunicación dirigida al mayor general piloto, Leonel Amílcar Muñoz, jefe de la Fuerza Aérea, el gremio hizo la petición, además de expresar su pesar por la pérdida de dos de sus miembros.
