El grupo de Operaciones Marítimas Comerciales de Reino Unido (UKMTO), comunicó que el barco secuestrado en el golfo de Omán cerca de las costas de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos (EAU) fue liberado por los asaltantes. Además toda la tripulación está a salvo.
En el comunicado el UKMTO insta a los barcos que transitan esa zona a hacerlo con cautela.
El nombre del buque del incidente no fue precisado en el documento sin embargo la revista de transporte marítimo Lloyd’s List, comunicó que se trata del buque Asphalt Princess, de bandera panameña y ahora se está dirigiendo hacia Omán.
