Las estaciones que se encuentran contaminadas son las que diariamente entregan el agua «a la zona norte de la capital y las parroquias nororientales».
La directora municipal de Ambiente, Gabriela García, advirtió que no es recomendable beber el agua del grifo y tampoco hervirla para el consumo de alimentos.
Durante las próximas 48 horas, las autoridades sanitarias harán el monitoreo de la calidad de agua y mientras tanto han desplegado 24 camiones cisterna para atender estos sectores.
