La Agencia Federal Médica y Biológica de Rusia (FMBA, por siglas en ruso) creó sistemas de prueba rápida para detectar las variantes iota y lambda del coronavirus, declaró, Veronika Skvortsova.
«Fueron desarrollados sistemas de prueba rápida para identificar mutaciones específicas del virus, incluidas las últimas variantes delta y delta plus. Ahora [los sistemas] han sido elaborados para [las variantes] iota y lambda».
La variante iota fue detectada por primera vez en noviembre del año pasado en Estados Unidos.
El Centro ruso de Virología y Biotecnología Vector, informó que esa variante destaca por la resistencia parcial ante el suero de las personas recuperadas o vacunadas y algunos anticuerpos monoclonales.
