Un adolescente británico se insertó un cable USB en el pene supuestamente para medir qué tan largo lo tenía. El curioso experimento no tuvo éxito y terminó en la sala de un hospital.
Al examinar al joven, de 15 años, los médicos del University College Hospital de Londres vieron que el cable había quedado en su escroto, como si fuera un catéter electrónico. La radiografía reveló que tenía un verdadero nudo dentro de sus genitales.
El propio adolescente, contó a los doctores que se había insertado el cable en la uretra para medir la longitud de su pene «por curiosidad sexual» y había intentado sacarlo por sí mismo.
Para extraer el nudo, los médicos tuvieron que hacer una incisión entre el pene y el ano del paciente.
El joven fue dado de alta al día siguiente. Si bien hasta el momento se encuentra bien, necesitará un seguimiento continuo en el futuro, pues corre el riesgo de desarrollar un estrechamiento de la uretra.
