El director general de Presupuesto, José Rijo Presbot, reveló ayer que se detectó una irregularidad de transferencia de fondos al Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD) en la nómina del Gabinete de Política Social del anterior Gobierno, para pagar nóminas por fuera, al margen del sistema salarial.
La última transferencia fue de RD$12 millones y la rescisión de un contrato para la instalación de un programa de software le costó al Presupuesto US$73,000, afirmó Rijo Presbot.
Durante un encuentro con editores y periodistas del área económica, en la Dirección General de Presupuesto (Digepres), Rijo Presbot precisó que será el presidente Luis Abinader quien anuncie la presentación del proyecto de reforma fiscal, el cual responde al Pacto Fiscal, como parte del ordenamiento de la Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo (END), pendiente de aplicar desde 2015 y manda como primer punto a la reducción de la evasión y como segundo punto el Pacto Fiscal.
No obstante, indicó que la reforma fiscal será presentada antes de finalizar el año y enfatizó que aquí nadie quiere que le pongan impuestos, ni al Gobierno le gusta tener que ponerlos, pero hay una necesidad de financiamiento de los ingresos que es real para poder cumplir las demandas sociales.
