Perú.-Cinco jóvenes fueron sentenciados a 20 años de cárcel por el Poder Judicial de Perú, luego de ser hallados culpables en un sonado caso de violación grupal a una mujer.
En octubre de 2020 una joven de 21 años denunció haber sido ultrajada durante una reunión social celebrada en el domicilio de uno de los agresores.

Los sentenciados, cuyas edades fluctúan entre los 24 y los 25 años, reconocieron en su momento la comisión del acto sexual, aunque sostuvieron que este se realizó bajo consentimiento de la mujer.
En su momento, el caso mereció el pronunciamiento del entonces presidente Martín Vizcarra (2018-2020), quien calificó el delito como «imperdonable y lamentable».
