La primera ministra de Perú, Mirtha Vásquez, calificó de «delicado» el hallazgo por la fiscalía de 20.000 dólares en efectivo en una oficina en Palacio de Gobierno (sede del Ejecutivo), perteneciente al exsecretario presidencial, Bruno Pacheco.
«Nosotros somos conscientes que (el hallazgo) es una situación muy delicada y somos los primeros interesados en que estas investigaciones avancen y que se pueda esclarecer lo antes posible porque pone en una situación muy compleja al Gobierno, y creo que es importante que esto se pueda resolver en el tiempo más célere posible», dijo la funcionaria.
El pasado 23 de noviembre, la fiscalía anticorrupción halló 20.000 dólares en efectivo, propiedad del exsecretario presidencial Bruno Pacheco, en el interior del baño de su oficina en Palacio de Gobierno de Lima, todo en el marco de las investigaciones que se le siguen por el presunto delito de tráfico de influencias tras haber, supuestamente, presionado para que asciendan irregularmente a altos mandos militares.
Asímismo, Pacheco dijo a los fiscales que ese dinero es producto de sus ahorros y de su sueldo como secretario del presidente, sin señalar la razón por la cual lo guarda en un sitio tan peculiar y no en su domicilio o en una cuenta bancaria, como es lo esperable.
Luego de la denuncia por los ascensos militares, Pacheco renunció a su cargo la semana pasada, siendo aceptada su renuncia el pasado 24 de noviembre por el presidente Pedro Castillo.
La primera ministra afirmó que seguirá el desarrollo de las investigaciones; Castillo no se ha referido directamente sobre el tema.
