Scarlett Johansson se pronunció sobre la demanda que presentó el pasado julio contra Walt Disney Co. por el estreno simultáneo de la película ‘Black Widow’ (‘Viuda Negra’ en España) en cines y en el servicio por suscripción Disney+, lo que, de acuerdo con la actriz estadounidense, redujo su parte esperada de recaudación en taquilla.
Durante la 35.ª gala de los premios American Cinematheque, que se celebró en noviembre en la ciudad californiana de Beverly Hills, la artista subrayó que cree «que es importante, en general, conocer tu propio valor y defenderse», sobre todo en la industria cinematográfica, informó este miércoles AP.
«Llevo mucho tiempo trabajando en este sector, casi 30 años, y desde entonces han cambiado muchas cosas, y en estos 30 años he sentido que ‘Dios mío, si me defiendo, podrían ponerme en la lista negra o no volver a trabajar nunca más'», declaró Johansson a los periodistas, y concluyó que, «por suerte, eso ha cambiado en esta industria tan grande».
El pasado 30 de septiembre, Johansson, quien interpretó a Natasha Romanoff, también conocida por su alias ‘Viuda Negra’, en nueve cintas que se remontan a ‘Iron Man 2’ (2010), llegó a un acuerdo con Disney por la demanda, poniendo fin rápidamente a lo que había comenzado como el primer gran conflicto entre un estudio y una estrella por cambios en los planes de estreno de una película.
En su demanda, la celebridad valoró en más de 50 millones de dólares sus pérdidas de recaudación en taquilla a raíz de lo que calificó de violación del contrato entre la actriz, el productor de la cinta, Marvel, y el propio distribuidor.
