La jueza del juzgado de Atención Permanente del Distrito Nacional, Kenya Romero, continuará este lunes el conocimiento de la solicitud de medida de coerción en contra del general Julio de los Santos Viola, implicado en el caso Coral 5G.
La magistrada fijó la audiencia para las 9:00 de la mañana, luego de que la Segunda Sala Penal de la Corte de Apelación del Distrito Nacional, rechazara la recusación presentada en su contra por el imputado de los Santos Viola, a través de sus abogados.
El tribunal de alzada, presidido por Isis Muñoz, establece en su decisión que los argumentos presentados por Viola y su abogado “carecen de sustento”, además de que son contraproducentes, contradictorios y que existen mecanismos para atacar decisión desfavorable de la jueza Romero.
Esta es la segunda recusación presentada por la defensa del exjefe de seguridad del expresidente Danilo Medina, quien está detenido desde finales de noviembre por su supuesta implicación en un entramado corrupto militar en varias instituciones del Estado.
