República Dominicana.- El Ministerio Público señala que Thelma María Eusebio, exdirectora de la Unidad de Electrificación Rural y Sub-urbana (Uers), jugó “un rol clave” en las contrataciones de las empresas del entramado societario dirigido por Alexis Medina Sánchez.
Según el órgano acusador, la funcionaria se benefició con la recepción de sobornos para garantizar las adjudicaciones a las empresas de Medina Sánchez a partir del año 2012. Fungió en la entidad en el período 2008-2020.
Eusebio, quien figura como investigada en el expediente, recibió pagos ilícitos con el fin de que beneficiara a Medina Sánchez, en asociación con Julián Esteban Suriel Suazo, Walcal Vernavel Méndez Pineda, Rafael Leónidas de Óleo y Carlos José Alarcón veras, con la adjudicación de contratos públicos dentro de la Uers a través de las empresas acusadas Domedical Supply S.R.L., Suim Suplidores Institucionales Méndez, S.R.L., Fuel América Inc. Dominicana S.R.L. y General Supply Corporation S.R.L.
El documento explica que estos montos ilícitos fueron recibidos por Eusebio en calidad de “gratificación” por la adjudicación de contratos a las empresas de Juan Alexis Medina Sánchez.
“Era común que se giraran cheques a nombre de ejecutivos de las sociedades involucrados como al acusado Rafael Leónidas de Óleo, o los empleados Ismael Guzmán Castillo, Víctor Kelin Santiago, German Santiago y Francisco Confesor Batista, con falsos conceptos como es el de publicidad o con los conceptos de gratificaciones”, indica el expediente del Ministerio Público.
