La inflación en Perú cerró el 2021 con un avance del 6,43%, la tasa más alta en 13 años y muy por encima del techo rango de meta del Banco Central, detalló ayer el Gobierno.
El país, un importante productor mundial de minerales, tiene un objetivo de inflación anual de entre el 1% y el 3%.

El Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática (INEI) informó en un comunicado que índice de los precios al consumidor de Lima Metropolitana, la referencia de la inflación en Perú, tuvo un mayor incremento en el 2021 en los rubros de alimentos, de combustibles, del transporte y de la energía.
El presidente del Banco Central de Perú, Julio Velarde, dijo en diciembre que la inflación ha repuntado principalmente por el alza de los precios de los bienes importados y el impacto de la depreciación de la moneda local frente al dólar.
Para este año el banco estima que la inflación se desaceleraría a 2,9% y en el 2023 cedería a 2,1%.
