El próximo lunes 24 de enero se dará inicio a la vacunación contra el COVID-19 a menores de edad entre los 5 a 11 años, confirmó el Ministerio de Salud de Perú (Minsa).
«Es importante informar a la ciudadanía que este día lunes [24 de enero] estamos dando inicio a la vacunación de los niños correspondientes al corte de 5 a 11 años, pero como tenemos un arribo inicial de 966.000 dosis, lo que vamos hacer es empezar esta semana dando prioridad a los niños con comorbilidades de 5 a 11 años, y también empezando con los de 10 a 11 años», dijo la directora ejecutiva de Inmunizaciones del Minsa, Gabriela Jiménez, a la televisora local Latina.
El 17 de enero, el Minsa anunció que este viernes 21 estará arribando el primer lote de vacunas elaboradas por el laboratorio Pfizer.
Asimismo, la vocera del Minsa indicó que luego de la vacunación de niños con comorbilidades y del grupo etario entre 10 a 11 años se procederá a inmunizar a los de 9 a 7 años, y finalmente a los de 6 a 5 años.
