La iglesia católica a través de la Conferencia del Episcopado Dominicano (CED), expresó ayer que la República Dominicana está siendo amenazasa por cuatro pandemias: la mentira, el covid-19, la violencia y el hedonismo (placer).
De acuerdo al CED, la pandemia de la mentira, es la primera que irrumpe y la más peligrosa, afirma que ésta utiliza los medios de comunicación para bombardear los hogares presentando normas, costumbres y modelos de vida contrarios a los valores, siendo los niños y jóvenes muchas veces las víctimas de los agentes que difunden falsas doctrinas.
Con respecto a la pandemia del Covid-19, el Episcopado detalló que «nunca en la historia reciente había sucedido un fenómeno de tal envergadura». Afirma que la pandemia sólo lo toca al ser humano indirectamente. «El verdadero drama de nuestro siglo es el vacío de Dios en el alma de tantos pueblos y la verdadera pandemia que nos aqueja es la anemia espiritual», aseguró.
Sobre la pandemia de la violencia, su misión consiste en hacer que los hombres se maten uno a otros indiscriminadamente a diario, aseguraron que para cortar dicho mal se necesitan personas de corazones pacíficos que protegan a las familias.
En otro orden, sobre la pandemia del hedonismo o placer, los obispos aseguran que ésta «arrastra a gran parte de la humanidad a los falsos paraísos terrenales (del alcohol, drogas, sexo, dinero fácil…), que en vez de felicidad producen mucho dolor y esclavitud».
«La persona que vive una sexualidad desordenada entristece al Espíritu Santo y se convierte en un ciego sin discernimiento, incapaz de descubrir los designios secretos del Dios de la historia. El hedonismo es sucio e inmisericorde, al final todo acaba en podredumbre y hastío», explican.
La Conferencia del Episcopado Dominicano (CED), emitió estas consideraciones en la Carta Pastoral «San José, custodio del Redentor y modelo del creyente», emitida a propósito de la celebración este viernes del Día de la Virgen de la Altagracia, «madre protectora y espiritual del pueblo dominicano».
