La Misión Especial de Monitoreo de la OSCE en Ucrania recibió información de que su sede en la ciudad de Mariúpol había resultado gravemente dañada por los bombardeos.
Según el informe, el edificio de la institución sufrió daños, quedó destruido el equipo de comunicación, y se incendiaron dos vehículos de la Misión.

El 24 febrero la secretaria general de la OSCE, Helga Schmid, anunció su decisión de evacuar temporalmente a todos los miembros de la misión del organismo internacional en Ucrania debido a la invasión rusa en la región.
