El Tribunal Constitucional (TC) de Perú aceptó un “habeas corpus” que solicitaba la nulidad de una resolución judicial que suspendió el indulto otorgado en 2017 a Alberto Fujimori, lo que implica que el expresidente será liberado.
El alto tribunal declaró fundado el recurso interpuesto por el abogado Gregorio Parco Alarcón contra la resolución de la Corte Suprema, que en 2018 dejó sin efecto el indulto otorgado al expresidente Fujimori (1990-2000) el 24 de diciembre de 2017 por el entonces mandatario, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (2016-2018).
El magistrado del TC Eloy Espinosa confirmó en diálogo con Canal N que el tribunal tuvo un empate en la votación, pues tres integrantes votaron en contra de conceder el “habeas corpus” al expresidente, mientras otros tres se manifestaron a favor.
Entre quienes se mostraron a favor de la medida, se encuentra el presidente del TC, Augusto Ferrero, quien tuvo la facultad de emitir un “voto de calidad o voto doble” para romper la igualdad.
