Este domingo a las 6:00 hora local (12:00 GMT) abrieron las urnas para definir entre José María Figueres y Rodrigo Chaves el presidente de la República para el período 2022-2026, anunció el Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones (TSE) de Costa Rica.
«A partir de este momento abren las juntas receptoras de votos», informó la entidad electoral en su cuenta de Twitter.

Según el censo final del TSE, cerca de 3,5 millones de costarricenses están habilitados para sufragar en 2.151 centros de votación en todo el país, los cuales cerrarán a las 18:00 hora local (00:00 GMT).
Dos horas más tarde el TSE ofrecerá resultados preliminares.
