Hoy, 30 de abril, es el Día Internacional del Jazz, establecido por la Unesco en el 2011, con el objetivo de: “sensibilizar al público en general sobre las virtudes de la música jazz como herramienta educativa y como motor para la paz, la unión, el diálogo, la tolerancia, la igualdad de género y la cooperación entre personas”.
El jazz se caracteriza por la improvisación, la innovación y la creatividad, rompiendo los esquemas que establecen las partituras. Sus inicios se remontan a los primeros años del siglo XIX, en Los Estados Unidos.
