El presidente de la República Dominicana, Luis Abinader, partió a las 10:15 de la mañana de este sábado hacia Costa Rica para participar de los actos oficiales de la toma de posesión de Rodrigo Chaves Robles, como presidente de esa nación centroamericana.
El mandatario salió en un vuelo privado por la Base Aérea de San Isidro, donde fue despedido por la vicepresidenta Raquel Peña, quien queda a cargo de la nación como presidenta en funciones. Además, estuvieron presentes el ministro de Defensa, teniente general Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa y el comandante general de la Fuerza Aérea de República Dominicana, Leonel A. Núñez Noboa.
Asimismo, Mortimel de Jesús Eusebio, subcomandante de la Fuerza Aérea; el comandante de la Base Aérea de San Isidro, Rafael Augusto Acosta Sena y el director general del Cuerpo Especializado en Seguridad Aeroportuaria y de la Aviación Civil, Carlos R. Febrillet Rodríguez.
Además, Igor Rodríguez, viceministro Administrativo de la Presidencia.
Durante su viaje oficial, el jefe de Estado dominicano está acompañado de una reducida comitiva integrada por el ministro Administrativo de la Presidencia, José Ignacio Paliza; el canciller, Roberto Álvarez; el subjefe del Cuerpo de Seguridad Presidencial, general de Brigada Jimmy Arias Grullón; el director del Gabinete del Presidente; asistente del jefe de Estado, Eilyn Beltrán y Mercedes Pichardo, asistente personal del mandatario.
A la delegación oficial se suma la embajadora dominicana en Costa Rica, Mayerlyn Cordero y el director de prensa del presidente, Daniel García Archibald, quien llegó con anterioridad como parte de la avanzada presidencial.
