El embajador de Rusia en Polonia, Serguéi Andréyev, ha sufrido una agresión este lunes cuando trató de depositar flores en el cementerio de los soldados soviéticos en Varsovia para conmemorar la victoria sobre la Alemania nazi en la Gran Guerra Patria, como se conoce la participación de la URSS en la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
A Andréyev, que acudió al cementerio en compañía de su esposa y otros diplomáticos rusos, le arrojaron pintura roja. Además, la muchedumbre no le dejó colocar la ofrenda floral y el embajador solo pudo abandonar el lugar acompañado de la Policía.
La portavoz del Ministerio de Exteriores de Rusia, María Zajárova, ha condenado el ataque contra Andréyev y ha denunciado que «los admiradores del neonazismo han vuelto a dejar al descubierto su rostro, y es sangriento».
La demolición de los monumentos a los héroes de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la profanación de las tumbas y ahora la frustración de la ceremonia de colocación de flores en un día sagrado para toda persona decente demuestran lo que ya es obvio: Occidente va camino de la reencarnación del fascismo», concluyó Zajárova.
«Pero, como ya dije antes, no pueden intimidarnos. Los residentes de Europa deberían tener miedo de su propio reflejo en el espejo», agregó.
