El presidente de Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso, se salvó de la destitución en el Parlamento del país suramericano tras un extenso debate, que comenzó el pasado sábado.
La Asamblea Nacional sometió a votación la noche de este martes la moción para destituir al mandatario, pero no se llegó a los votos favorables de las dos terceras partes de los parlamentarios, es decir, 92, como lo establece la ley local.

Luego de tres votaciones, debido a una solicitud de rectificación y otra de reconsideración del proceso, los resultados definitivos fueron 80 votos afirmativos, 48 negativos y 9 abstenciones.
