El Pleno del Congreso de Perú evaluará este jueves iniciar una moción de censura contra el ministro del Interior, Dimitri Senmache, por la fuga del exministro de Transportes Juan Silva, requerido por la Justicia por los presuntos delitos de organización criminal y colusión agravada.
El Parlamento peruano debatirá a primera hora (hora local) si se inicia un proceso para evaluar una posible salida del encargado de la cartera del Interior por su supuesta «grave responsabilidad funcional» en la fuga de Silva.
«Ellos discutirán y tomarán la decisión y yo, como ciudadano respetuoso de la democracia, voy a acatar lo que ahí se decida», señaló el martes Senmache tras conocer la noticia, tal y como recoge la emisora peruana RPP.
Además, el ministro del Interior enfatizó su compromiso en la búsqueda y detención de las personas requeridas por la Justicia.
«Estamos detrás de ellos (…) Si pudiéramos, en este momento los presentaríamos rápidamente», dijo el funcionario.
«Estamos convencidos de que muy pronto estas personas van a ser detenidas. Yo estoy convencido de que mi trabajo tiene que hablar por sí mismo y será el Congreso, con sus prerrogativas, los que puedan discutir a nivel político y tomar una decisión», explicó.
En el documento para evaluar la moción de censura también se recoge que, bajo la gestión de Senmache, quien llegó al Ministerio del Interior a finales de mayo, «solo se tiene como resultado la fuga de altos personajes implicados en corrupción».
