Este jueves la Armada dominicana reaccionó indignada ante superior involucrado en una red de narcotráfico, desmantelada por la Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas (DNCD), y otras agencias de inteligencia del Estado junto al Ministerio Público.
El capitán de Fragata ( Teniente Coronel), Kelvin Agustín Mejía Herrera prestaba servicios fuera de la institución, según un comunicado.
Según un comunicado de la comandancia General de la Armada ya se está tramitando la solicitud de suspensión, para que su condición de militar no afecte las acciones de la justicia, a la cual será sometido inmediatamente.
La accionar están fundamentada en las disposiciones de los artículos 269 de la ley 3483 de la fecha 5 de marzo del años 1953 y del artículo 182 de la Ley 139-13, Orgánica de las Fuerzas Armadas.
El comunicado emitido por la Armada Dominicana concluye con las Sifuentes palabras, “La Comandancia General de esta institución será enfática en aplicar los reglamentos disciplinarios vigentes sin distinción, a los miembros que se vean involucrados en actos reñidos con la ley y que pretendan empañar la imagen de nuestra honorable institución y de los hombres y mujeres que día a día se sacrifican para defender nuestros mares y costas”.
En ese mismo orden el Ejército reacciona al sargento mayor Jose Luis Sanchez Vélez, quien también estaba involucrado en una red de narcotráfico que operaba en la Autovía del este, y al momento de darse a conocer información la fue separado de la fila.
El sub-oficial está siendo puesto a disposición de la justicia civil.
