El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores Singapur afirmó este jueves que el presidente de Sri Lanka, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, ingresó a la ciudad-Estado procedente de Maldivas en visita privada y no recibió asilo, tras haber huido de su país un día antes.
«Está confirmado que a Rajapaksa se le permitió entrar a Singapur en visita privada», dijo en un comunicado la Cancillería. «No pidió asilo y tampoco le fue otorgado. Singapur en general no acepta pedidos de asilo», agregó.
