El ministro del Interior de Perú, Mariano González, fue destituido ayer por el presidente peruano, Pedro Castillo, a solo 15 días de que asumiera el cargo.
«En nombre del Gobierno del pueblo, agradezco los servicios prestados a la Nación del señor Mariano González Fernández como ministro del Interior», tuiteó el mandatario.
El jefe de Estado juramentó como nuevo titular de la cartera a Willy Arturo Huerta Olivas, quien ya es el séptimo en asumir el cargo desde el inicio de la presidencia de Castillo.
La destitución de González se produjo en medio de la controversia en torno al proceso contra el presidente por presunta corrupción, después de que la semana pasada la Policía Nacional arrestara por varias horas a Zamir Villaverde, colaborador de la Fiscalía en el caso contra el mandatario.
La semana pasada, González negó ante el Congreso que la Policía estuviera haciendo un seguimiento de Villaverde, conocido en Perú como reglaje, detallan medios locales.
