El Consejo Nacional de Educación (CNE) aprobó este miércoles iniciar el año escolar 2022-2023 el primero de septiembre para el personal docente y el 19 del mismo mes para los estudiantes.
De acuerdo a un comunicado, el calendario contará con 179 días laborables, equivalentes a 37 semanas lectivas de clases para los estudiantes, y 213 días de trabajo docente, correspondiente a 40 semanas laborales. El calendario concluirá el 23 de junio del 2023 para los estudiantes y el 29, para los maestros.
La decisión fue tomada durante la Segunda Sesión Extraordinaria del Calendario Escolar 2022-2023. Según un comunicado de prensa, al hablar ante el Consejo, el ministro de Educación, Roberto Fulcar, quien también preside el CNE, dijo que el nuevo escolar iniciará con más de cinco mil planteles remozados con pintura, agua, baños, grietas, filtraciones, y anunció que se aplicará un plan preventivo para que los centros no lleguen al nivel de deterioro en el que se encontraban.
Fulcar afirmó que las reparaciones se realizan con fondos que manejan las juntas descentralizadas de centros, a la vez que informó que se licitó el equipamiento de más de 30 liceos de salida general, que a partir de septiembre serán convertidos paulatinamente en institutos politécnicos.
Asimismo, informó que se están haciendo las evaluaciones de los docentes que participarán en el programa intensivo de inglés como segunda lengua, y que se tienen en marcha a toda capacidad, los programas orientados a la alfabetización temprana, a la resolución de problemas matemáticos y al impulso del pensamiento lógico, como una estrategia de acción para resolver el mal de origen del sistema educativo dominicano.
