Este sábado el ministro de Petróleo de Irán, Javad Owji, y el ministro de Estado de Recursos Petroleros de Nigeria, Timipre Sylva, firmaron en Teherán un memorando de entendimiento en las industrias del petróleo y el gas para ampliar la cooperación entre los dos países, informa la agencia de noticias iraní Shana.
Con el acuerdo, se pretende impulsar la transferencia de tecnologías de Irán a Nigeria y la explotación de los yacimientos nigerianos de petróleo y gas. Irán va a llevar a cabo la construcción de nuevas refinerías y el mantenimiento de las existentes, así como el desarrollo del sector de exploración y producción del petróleo y gas condensado. A su vez, las empresas nigerianas participarán en el desarrollo de la industria del gas natural licuado iraní.
