Venezuela emite nueva orden de detención contra el exministro de Petróleo Rafael Ramírez y siete personas más , informó este jueves la Fiscalía, después de que el gobierno denunciara un fraude por 4.850 millones de dólares en la estatal PDVSA.
El país caribeño emitió en 2021 una alerta roja de Interpol para la captura de Ramírez por otro caso de corrupción en Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), pero Italia, donde se encuentra el exfuncionario, negó la extradición.
«Yo creo que las autoridades italianas deben estar pensando muy bien su papel en la lucha contra la delincuencia trasnacional. Estamos hablando de una persona que ha sido denunciada con pruebas», dijo el fiscal general, Tarek William Saab, en una rueda de prensa.
El actual ministro de Petróleo, Tareck El Aissami, denunció el martes que PDVSA hizo 28 giros por un total de 4.850 millones por un crédito contraído en febrero de 2012 con la empresa privada Atlantic 17.107 A.C, sin que la compañía estatal recibiera el dinero del préstamo.
La línea de crédito, de acuerdo con la denuncia, fue cedida por Atlantic a los «fondos» extranjeros Violet Advisors S.A. y Welka Holding Limited, con sede en Panamá y San Vicente y las Granadinas, respectivamente, que habrían recibido los pagos entre 2012 y 2013.
