El partido Fuerza del Pueblo participó con decenas de miembros y simpatizantes en la celebración del 21 aniversario de la multitudinaria y tradicional “Parada Dominicana en Puerto Rico”, que se efectuó este domingo 9 en marco de la celebración del “Mes de la Herencia Hispana”.
La avenida Ponce de León, en Santurce, Puerto Rico en donde se encuentra ubicado el Consulado General de la República Dominicana en San Juan, fue abarrotada de integrantes de la Fuerza del Pueblo con atuendos verdes, color distintivo de la entidad política que dirige el expresidente dominicano, Leonel Fernández.
Cabe señalar que la Fuerza del Pueblo fue la única organización política dominicana que asistió masivamente con sus miembros identificados, las demás entidades brillaron por su ausencia en este tradicional evento de la diáspora dominicana en la hermana isla de Puerto Rico.
Esta celebración se inició en 1999, y cada año se dan cita miles de dominicanos residentes en la Isla del Encanto, con el mismo fervor y entusiasmo de siempre.
La coordinación de la participación de la Fuerza del Pueblo en este evento, estuvo bajo la responsabilidad de Álvaro Nuñez, presidente de FP en Puerto Rico y el exdiputado Levis Suriel, así como de Daniel Gómez Aguilera, quien es el presidente del partido en San Juan y de Pedro de Jesús, quien se desempeña como encargado de Organización de la FP, entre otros dirigentes.
