La Comunidad Internacional se debate este jueves en la Asamblea General de la ONU, sobre la necesidad de poner fin al embargo económico, comercial y financiero impuesto por EE.UU. contra Cuba.
Cuba vuelve a la ONU con su resolución contra el bloqueo y, de la misma forma que viene sucediendo en los últimos años, este proceso se divide en dos etapas.
En una primera jornada –que tuvo lugar el miércoles– diferentes oradores, en representación de países que integran el organismo, criticaron el bloqueo y mostraron su compromiso con el voto a favor de esta resolución.
Este jueves se dará inicio a la segunda etapa y Cuba presentará formalmente la resolución por medio de su canciller, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
Posteriormente, se llevará a cabo la votación por trigésima ocasión. En las 29 votaciones anteriores, que comenzaron en 1992, la Asamblea General se pronunció de forma abrumadora contra el bloqueo y exigió que se ponga fin a ese tipo de medidas coercitivas unilaterales.
