Un joven floridano de 25 años acusado de haber matado a puñaladas y golpes a un matrimonio al que no conocía y de haber querido comer la cara del esposo tras el ataque se enfrenta desde este lunes a un juicio oral del que puede salir condenado a prisión de por vida o enviado a un hospital psiquiátrico.
Austin Harrouf, de 25 años, indico locura al declararse no culpable de las muertes de John y Michelle Stevens, que estaban en el garaje de su casa en Tequesta (Florida) cuando en agosto de 2016 irrumpió y los atacó sin motivo aparente.
La acusación señala que, además de apuñalar y golpear a la pareja hasta que murieron, Harrouf atacó a un vecino, Jeff Fisher, que se presentó en el lugar al oír los gritos de las víctimas.
Cuando la policía fue a casa de los Stevens alertada por los vecinos, Harrouf, entonces de 19 años y estudiante de la Universidad Estatal de Florida, estaba medio desnudo y mordiendo la cara de John Stevens.
