La Dirección General de Migración (DGM) informó que República Dominicana ha deportado a más de 19,250 haitianos indocumentados en lo que va de noviembre.
Entre el 1 y el 27 de este mes (noviembre) fueron realizados 180 operativos de control en distintos puntos del país. La mayoría de los deportados (6,158) fue detenida en la provincia Santo Domingo, Santiago (4,823), Elías Piña (3,788), Dajabón (1,121), La Altagracia (1,053), Jimaní (817), Pedernales (728), La Vega (561) y Azua (201), de acuerdo a la entidad.

Durante los operativos la DGM es auxiliada por la Policía Nacional, cuyos agentes detienen personas al azar, solicitan documentación y, en caso de irregularidades, los llevan a un vacacional de Haina, donde los depuran y procesan.
