El presidente de Brasil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, decretó la tarde del domingo la intervención del Distrito Federal después de que radicales bolsonaristas invadieran los edificios públicos del Congreso Nacional, el Palacio del Planalto y el Supremo Tribunal Federal.
“Estos vándalos, podemos llamarlos fascistas fanáticos, hicieron lo que nunca se ha hecho en la historia de este país. Es importante recordar que la izquierda ya ha tenido gente torturada, asesinada y nunca, nunca he visto noticias de ningún tipo. Partido de izquierda que invadió el Congreso Nacional, la Corte Suprema o el Palacio del Planalto, no tiene precedentes en la historia del país”, dijo el mandatario.
Firmó el decreto de intervención en el Distrito Federal hasta el 31 de enero. “El objetivo es contener el gran compromiso del orden público, marcado por hechos de violencia. La multitud aprovechó el silencio del domingo, mientras la gente aún estaba formando gobierno, para hacer lo que hizo”.
