El presidente de Francia, Emmanuel Macron, abogó este viernes en la Conferencia de Seguridad de Múnich por «intensificar el apoyo» a Ucrania hasta que pueda «lanzar una contraofensiva» que fuerce a Rusia a dialogar bajo condiciones «creíbles» y «elegidas» por Kiev. Asimismo auguró un conflicto largo, para el que -aseguró- Europa está preparada.
«Estamos listos a intensificar el apoyo hoy porque los días y las semanas que vienen son decisivos y estamos preparados para un conflicto prolongado. No lo deseo, pero sobre todo porque no lo queremos, debemos ser creíbles con nuestra capacidad de mantener ese esfuerzo», invitó Macron. «Rusia es una potencia de desequilibrio y de injusticia», con mentalidad «neocolonial y neoimperialista», agregó.
El mandatario galo llamó a Europa a «invertir masivamente” en defensa, tanto en el contexto de la OTAN como a nivel continental, más allá de los límites de la Unión Europea. Asimismo, dijo que Moscú debe «fracasar» en su intento por anexionar territorio ucraniano por la fuerza si «queremos un orden internacional estable y una paz duradera».
