República Dominicana. – Profamilia reitera su llamado a que se imparta educación integral en sexualidad en las escuelas para prevenir embarazos no planificados en la adolescencia, uniones tempranas, abusos y violaciones sexuales, ante la realidad que muestran las cifras del Ministerio de Educación.
“Como institución estamos dispuestos a realizar el aporte que requiera el país, porque urge unir esfuerzos para garantizar una vida libre de violencias, el desarrollo pleno y dignidad de la gente joven”, indicó Magaly Caram, directora ejecutiva de Profamilia.
Señaló que “entendemos que las estadísticas del Ministerio ponen de manifiesto un problema social de mucho alcance, que demanda del Estado, especialmente del Ministerio de Educación, una respuesta contundente y que la presentación de la Orden Departamental 22/2023, que establece el Código de Ética que regula las relaciones entre el personal docente y la población estudiantil, representa la preocupación del MINERD y una respuesta ante los más recientes casos de relación abusiva de docentes con estudiantes”.
“Sin embargo, esperamos que sea solo el primer paso y que estas estadísticas marquen el camino para impulsar una educación integral en sexualidad, comprensiva, científica, basada en evidencias, que prevenga la violencia y, sobre todo, que trabaje el plan de vida en adolescentes y jóvenes”.
