República Dominicana.- El Comité Provincial del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) en Santiago, anunció que marcharán junto a la ciudadanía este sábado 27 de mayo en reclamo por el alto costo de la vida, la inseguridad y el deterioro de los servicios públicos.
El presidente provincial del principal partido opositor, Antonio Peña Mirabal afirmó que desde que el gobierno del PRM encabezado por Luis Abinader, empezó a dirigir los destinos de la República Dominicana, el precio de todos los productos que conforman la canasta básica alimentaria ha experimentado escandalosos incrementos que han empobrecido a los sectores menos privilegiados de nuestra sociedad.
“Productos como el pan, los huevos, el salami, el arroz, los aceites comestibles, el azúcar, el pollo, la carne de res, cerdo, los espaguetis, etc., han registrado alzas descontroladas mientras los salarios de nuestros trabajadores y la clase media se mantienen estáticos”, enfatizó.
También afirmó que “la delincuencia se ha adueñado de las calles, barrios, urbanizaciones, residenciales de nuestro país, alterando el clima de tranquilidad que se vivía en los gobiernos del PLD, imposibilitando que la familia dominicana pueda vivir en sosiego y tranquilidad”.
Asimismo, destacó el deterioro que han sufrido los servicios públicos utilizados principalmente por los sectores más desposeídos del pueblo dominicano, tales como el 911, el Programa de Medicamentos de Alto Costo, la falta de insumos, equipos y medicamentos en hospitales, el desabastecimiento de las farmacias del pueblo y el abandono de la Jornada Escolar Extendida, entre otros.
Mirabal planteó que los jóvenes cada día tienen menos oportunidades de empleos y capacitaciones, asegurando que “están truncando el anhelo de muchos de ingresar a universidades para formarse y en otros casos, tras salir de las altas casas de estudios sin ubicación laboral”.
“Llama la atención y preocupa el incremento de los viajes ilegales; teníamos mucho sin escuchar la proliferación de esas peligrosas travesías en yolas, a las que se suman las vueltas por México y Centroamérica”, señaló.
