República Dominicana. – La universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) inauguró una sede en la provincia de Pedernales. En un emotivo acto, los pedernalenses recibieron la instalación de una extensión de la alta casa de estudio superior en esa provincia fronteriza.
El Director de la UASD recinto Barahona, Manuel de la Cruz, junto a la Gobernadora Altagracia Brea de González y otras autoridades de Pedernales, formalizaron la inauguración.
De la Cruz hizo un recorrido de las experiencias de su vida hasta su formación, como forma de motivación y narró además la importancia que tiene para los pueblos que sus habitantes se preparen.
Por otro lado, el nuevo Director de Pedernales, Darling Cuevas, quien estará al frente de la nueva alta casa de estudios en la tierra de Bahía de las Águilas, también manifestó el compromiso asumido.
“Estoy asumiendo el compromiso de servirle, la UASD es servicio, por lo tanto, vamos a poner en marcha lo que tanto ustedes han estado esperando” dijo cuevas.
