Este martes, El Gobierno de Brasil acusó a Google de promover una «campaña abusiva y engañosa» en contra de un proyecto de ley que el Parlamento discute para frenar la difusión de desinformación en internet.
Flávio Dino, ministro de Justicia, anunció que, en función de esa campaña que Google mantiene contra una discusión que se tramita en las cámaras legislativas, se requirió a la empresa retirar los contenidos críticos de ese proyecto de ley «en un plazo de dos horas».
Detalló que la decisión cautelar fue tomada a la luz de las leyes de protección al consumidor, las cuales consideraron que Google ha violado al difundir «una publicidad abusiva y engañosa, que emite una opinión editorial disfrazada» e intenta «manipular» del debate de los sectores políticos en el Parlamento brasileño.
