El Comité Internacional de la Cruz Roja (CICR) hizo un llamamiento urgente a los portadores de armas en Haití, sumido en una profunda crisis, a que protejan la vida y la integridad de los heridos y del personal médico.
La solicitud, suscrita también por la Cruz Roja de Haití y la Federación Internacional de Sociedades de la Cruz Roja y de la Media Luna Roja, se efectúa ante nuevos rebrotes de violencia” en el país caribeño y el consiguiente aumento de heridos y fallecidos, de acuerdo con un comunicado.
