Anoche se presentaron en Portland sin LeBron James y en el primer tiempo, perdiendo ya claramente, dejaron de contar con Anthony Davis. Tales circunstancias se unieron al resurgimiento de Damian Lillard. ¿Resultado? Cómodo triunfo de los Blazers por 105-90.
Prácticamente no hubo partido en Oregon. Aunque ambos equipos llegaban con dudas y se esperaba una noche igualada, Portland fue muy superior; tanto como para ganar de 22 puntos al final del primer cuarto (llegaron a ser 34 en el transcurso del partido). Como decíamos, gran parte de culpa de tal diferencia la tuvo Damian Lillard. El base All-Star se fue hasta los 25 puntos en 31 minutos de juego con un 6 de 14 en triples (había metido un total de 18 en los nueve partidos anteriores). Obviamente acabó satisfecho.
«Creo que lancé mejor el balón. No tan bien como me hubiera gustado, con algunas de las oportunidades que tuve, pero estuve mejor lanzando la pelota y conseguimos otra victoria, así que me siento bien», explica.
Lillard estuvo muy bien, pero no solo. Jusuf Nurkic logró un doble-doble de 15 puntos y 17 rebotes, mientras que Robert Covington se fue hasta los 12 tantos con un 4 de 8 en triples. Ellos ayudaron a que el equipo no se resintiese de la mala noche de C.J. McCollum, que se quedó en 7 puntos con un 3 de 15 en tiros de campo.
