La Embajada de Estados Unidos en Moscú emitió una nueva alerta de viaje a sus ciudadanos recomendando que “no viajen” al país debido a las “consecuencias impredecibles de la invasión no provocada de Ucrania” y reclamando a los que ya se encuentran en territorio ruso que abandonen el país “inmediatamente”.
Así, indicó en su página web que los ciudadanos estadounidenses en Rusia se exponen a “potencial acoso” y “detenciones” o la “aplicación arbitraria de la ley local”, al tiempo que ha subrayado que la Embajada cuenta con “capacidad limitada para asistir a ciudadanos estadounidenses en Rusia”, al margen de la “posibilidad de terrorismo”.
“Ejerzan una mayor precaución debido al riesgo de detenciones erróneas”, manifestó, antes de recordar la suspensión de operaciones en sus consulados en Rusia y reseñar que “Rusia podría negarse a reconocer la doble ciudadanía estadounidense, negar el acceso a la asistencia consular, someterles a movilización, evitar su salida de Rusia o reclutarlos”.
