La presidenta del Consejo Nacional Electoral (CNE), Diana Atamaint, informó que la plataforma que serviría para consignar el voto de los ecuatorianos en el exterior sufrió ataques informáticos desde India, Bangladesh, Pakistán, Rusia, Ucrania, Indonesia y China.
Sin embargo, no existió vulneración de los votos confirmados. Frente a estas alertas, el CNE restringió el acceso a su página web y aplicación móvil por donde se transmitirán los resultados, de acuerdo a la funcionaria.
“La plataforma de voto telemático sufrió ataques cibernéticos que afectaron la fluidez para acceder a la votación. Aclaramos y hacemos énfasis que los votos confirmados no han sido vulnerados”, indicó Atamaint, en una cadena nacional luego del cierre de urnas.
Los ecuatorianos residentes en el exterior alertaron en redes sociales que la plataforma de voto telemático no les permitía realizar la autenticación de sus cuentas para consignar el voto o que, al momento de confirmar la votación, el sistema no respondía.
La Cancillería de Ecuador reclamó al CNE sobre los problemas en el proceso: “Numerosas oficinas consulares han reportado la dificultad de votar por vía telemática. Requerimos al CNE, única institución competente, tomar de manera urgente las medidas técnicas necesarias para corregir esta situación”, publicaron en X.
Para evitar nuevas vulneraciones, el Consejo Nacional Electoral informó que la web donde se publicarán los resultados estará disponible solo en Ecuador. El aplicativo móvil del CNE App solo funcionará en los móviles con sistema operativo Android. Los otros métodos para seguir el escrutinio oficial serán las transmisiones en vivo que se realizan en las cuentas de redes sociales del CNE.
