El Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) desembolso este miércoles 284 millones de dólares a Costa Rica, el segundo de un préstamo pactado por el organismo financiero con esa nación centroamericana.
«Costa Rica recibió hoy segundo desembolso del Fondo Monetario Internacional por 284.4 millones de dólares», informó la Casa Presidencial.
El depósito de estos recursos llegó apenas cuatro días después de que el Directorio Ejecutivo del FMI concluyera la primera y segunda revisión del programa de políticas acordadas, y aprobara una extensión del acuerdo hasta el 31 de julio de 2024, cinco meses más de lo pactado de entrada.
El nuevo desembolso del FMI engrosará los recursos del Gobierno que asuma el próximo 8 de mayo, liderado por quien gane el balotaje del venidero 3 de abril entre el expresidente José María Figueres y el economista Rodrigo Chaves.
