El fiscal general Tarek William Saab dió a conocer que el Ministerio Público (MP) venezonalno ha procesado a unas 200 personas que se encuentran vinculados a distintos casos de corrupción dentro de la compañía estatal Petróleos de Venezuela S.A (PDVSA)
En una entrevista por la Fiscalía venezolana en su sitio web, Saab comentó que en la reciente «cruzada» que lidera el jefe de Estado, Nicolás Maduro, junto con la Policía Nacional Anticorrupción, el Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional (SEBIN), el MP y otras autoridades, se determinó que «hay elementos de convicción» que «obligan» a realizar nuevas detenciones e incautaciones.
«Todas las autoridades del Estado, empezando por el presidente Nicolás Maduro, están liderando esta cruzada. Es una oportunidad de oro para sancionar esta traición por parte de personas a quienes se les dio confianza para administrar dinero público y se fueron por el camino de la delincuencia», dijo Saab.
